When my husband, Michael, and were planning our Sept. 15, 2007 wedding in Rockland, we looked for ways to make our event unique. We chose to get married at a historic theater and have our reception at the city's former train station. For our transportation for the event, we decided to pick something that also had ties to Rockland's history. Years ago, trolleys used to be a mode of transportation in the city and the beautiful trolleys offered by All Aboard Trolley were a perfect fit.
When the trolley pulled into my driveway at my home to pick up my wedding party and me, my excitement mounted. We boarded the trolley and waved to people as we made our way to the theater for the wedding.
After the wedding, there was enough room in the trolley for our wedding party and our immediate families to travel with us to a local park for photos and everyone loved it. We ended up taking some fun photos using the trolley as our backdrop.
One small thing that I never considered, but I ended up appreciating, was that I didn't have to bend down and risk wrinkling my dress, which would have been necessary had we rented a limo. All of us rode in comfort.
The trolley was a great choice our wedding, and I would highly recommend All Aboard Trolley to other couples.
